Dr. Liliana Mereu graduated and specialized at the University of Pavia. After having worked for three years at the Department of Obstetrics and Ginecology Sacred Heart Hospital of Negrar and moved to Florence, where 4 years has been responsible of the Unit of Gynecology at the Centro Oncologico Fiorentino. She currently works as an Associate Professor at the University of Catania and is Director of the Gynecological and Obstetrics Clinic of the "G. Rodolico" Polyclinic in Catania.

In recent years she has focused his activities on minimally invasive surgery ( laparoscopy, single access , robotics , hysteroscopy) thanks to the attendance at national and international institutes : IRCAD - EITS (European Institute of Tele Surgery ) Strasbourg, IGR ( Institute Gustave Roussy ) Villejuif- Paris FRANCE , Policlinico Gemelli Catholic University in Rome , Northwestern University, Chicago.

She has performed more than 2000 surgical interventions laparotomy , vaginal , laparoscopic and robotic . The high level achieved is evidenced by the numerous appearances of Dr Mereu into national and international conferences where she was to invited to perform modern minimally invasive surgery .  

She partecipated in numerous multicenter trials in oncology , endometriosis and minimally invasive surgery .  

She is PhD in Biotechnology in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Siena and abtained the abilitation for Associated Professor

Dr. Mereu , in recent years, has been dedicated to teaching the techniques of minimally invasive surgery at national and international institutes and schools of high qualification .  

She is author of more than 90 publications ( book chapters, articles, videos, case reports , reviews, abstracts ) in peer reviewed journals . She was personally invited as a speaker at more than 135 national and international congresses . And ' member of the main Italian and European companies gynecology .
